9th Grade Projects
Breaking Bread
Freshman Year, Spring Semester 2016
The Breaking Bread Project had a lot to do with baking bread and telling stories, which turned out to be something challenging. Throughout the project, we had to learn to be precise in measuring ingredients to create a delicious loaf. We also had interviews, read and wrote stories, and watched videos to help us practice the art of storytelling to present at exhibition. We also graphed the change of nutrients during the process of making bread. This project helped us learn the history of bread as well as its cultural importance.

Wandering Wonderings of Water
Freshman Year, Fall Semester 2015
The Wandering Wonderings of Water Project had us ask questions and make discoveries about the different places we visited each week. We would take a few minutes to observe our surroundings and would question things we learned or saw. We later chose a wondering and were paired up with someone with similarities of our wondering interest. In the end, we created a poster of our combined topics along with an independently made booklet of our own personal experience with our wondering.
